I really would have thought metro would have improved it.

Interestingly, I found this post from 2003 by osulldj:

Interesting that after 10 years, since this was posted, the SR% hasn't changed a bit! The only thing that's increased over the years is the LOT, another 1.83%, and the LOT trend will probably keep sliding into the future. What do you put that down to, more people betting due to the advent of the WWW and online bookmakers?

Im actually surprised the loss is that much, was expecting it to be around 6%

I'd imagine best tote loss would be around 5 or 6%
