Default Favs and tracks

Hi all

I was thinking if there is a difference in the chances of a horse that is the same price in different size fields and if there is a way to see the price on a level playing field so to speak. eg

7 horse field price close to start time.....$2.2 fav

17 horse field price close to start time....$2.2 fav

another example

7 horse field price close to start time.......$3.9 fav

17 horse field price close to start time......$3.9 fav

Also does anyone know if there is a site that gives stats for favourites winning at particular tracks...eg Rosehill 32% or even more detailed with price ranges free or paid.

Regards
Ubetido

I'm pretty sure all the fav stats etc, are on R&S site. In the Search facility, type in say Rosehill and click on course records.

One can only assume the stats are correct. At one time I used all the best times in that site, for all courses, for all distances, for all states of going, in order to attempt to apply a speed formula. However I did find numerous errors, figures which just could not have been correct, so I had to manipulate those ones.

Regards, Paul

You'll find that the favourites are pretty much the same for all courses, except that the prices are built into the average field sizes.
So for example Moonee Valley strike is better than Flemington, but it works out the same because the prices are better at Flemington (overall).

As an example:

Flemington
Strike Rate 28.13%
Avg Price $3.09

Moonee Valley
Strike Rate 31.45%
Avg Price $2.84
