Default AFL Tipping Comp

Who wants to be involved with the AFL Tipping Comp this year? Just like the NRL and S14, I'm going to use the OzTips Tipping comp website this year for the AFL.

I've sent invitations out to several people. If you haven't received an invite and you want to have a go at the comp, send me an email.

I understand it is only for fun, but I would be far more interested in a Competition that can actually be financially rewarding.
I don't know how it would work , but something along the lines of..."If you had of bet like THIS, you would be winning THIS MUCH".

We could comment on the prices teams are at and why they are Value or not.
Perhaps if we could have a consensus of what price a team should be and why.
I guess it not really a competition as such, but more of a legup for us Punters what ain't been doing too well.
Surely together we could find flaws in assessed prices?
I tried doing it on my own but obviously I not too successful.

How Huddo zeroed in on tipping horror
Geoff McClure
April 4, 2007

HANDS up all those who fared badly in the first round of tipping? Yeah, you were not the only ones. Four out of eight was rated the average, a score of five was excellent, six outstanding and anything above that … well, anything's possible when you don't really understand the game, isn't it? Many fans, of course, had truly horrendous starts with scores of three, two, one and even zero, although we would never want to publicly embarrass anyone who will begin round two the same way as they began round one — with a big 0 next to their name. Like hell we wouldn't! This is why we say take a bow, Anthony Hudson, he of Channel Ten and SEN fame, who suffered a true commentator's nightmare at the weekend when his eight choices — including his beloved Geelong — all got rolled in the first round of the season. "I did my tips in a hurry, which is hardly an excuse, but what else can I say," said Hudson yesterday, admitting he knew that the ribbing from friends and colleagues would be so unbearable on Monday, his day off, that he kept his phone turned off all day. Hudson maintains he doesn't take his tipping as seriously as other media people but "because we're so-called experts, we're all expected to poll well every week and in round one, I certainly didn't do that". Hudson, of course, will need a quick change in fortunes to catch up on the leaders but if he doesn't, at least he won't be in unfamiliar territory. He said: "A couple of times I've finished in the top three but in every other year, I've been hopeless, so what else is new?"
