Heres a crazy plan that has approx a 20% SR so far.
which is what most plans should be able to do , its just the low prices which usually kills them off.
Some of the prices are amazing, one would not have selected some of these based on form.

The idea here is to bet the horses above & below the TAB fav 1 min till jump.
e.g. If TAB Fav is No.5 we then back the Nos. 4 & 6
We are backing approx 2 horses a race.

We are assuming the handycapper has done the work for us by placing them in this position in the first place, so one figures they must be a chance of some kind.

I ran this through the last 3 days, just for fun.

This is what came out of it.
23wins from 114 races = 20% SR

It makes a bloke want wonder why he bothers looking at form.
I guess studing form is a type of retro fitting as well.

The SR is nearly 50% If one includes the FAV using 3 horses a race but the fav chews away the profit if it is included.

Profit +76 = 33% POT


Prices were.

One would need to bet in a 100:1 ratio level stakes.


If one were to lay bet the horse above the Fav 14% SR the price has to be $6.00 & less.

If one were to lay bet the horse underneath the Fav SR 9% , the price has to be $10.00 & less.
So as to show a long term profit.

What did you do when the fave was no.1 or the highest number, which would be very unusual.

Did you also look at the type of race and also the numbers of runners, or are they just the raw figures?

These are just raw figures.

If fav was No.1 or right down the bottom I just took one horse that was nearest, not 2 horses.

I guess one could take 2 horses if Fav was at the 2 extreems of the field .
