Hi all brothers,

It has been awhile since I last wrote.

Below is my Caulfield Guineas selection :

Too much pressure in front and too fast pace. Ambulance and Hasna will fly from the back to get the quinella. Either Scaredee Cat, Exceed & Excel, Lago Delight, Elvstroem or Stardane to hang on for 3rd.

I could not agree more. Today I read Brian Jenkins, Stardane's trainer, will make sure that his horse will take the lead on the race and put the pressure right on Exceed & Excel (and the others in the race).

However, there is also news that Exceed and Excel will not race due to an infection and difficulties (fierce racing) during Wednesday's track work.

i'm a cynical sob, so i can't help but think Ambulance is over-hyped ?!?

i'm going for some value - the NZ'er Penintentiary. I think he's suited over a mile

I wouldn't say Ambulance was overrated until his last start I thought he was grossly underrated noone talked about the horse at all really now everyone is on the bandwagon.

However I don't think he will win the Guineas to many thing would have to go right for him to win. If Exceed and Excel doesn't run I think it might hurt his chances even more.

For me right now I would say Lago Delight, Scardee Cat and In Top Swing might be the best chances in the race. Something is probably going to win this race sitting just in behind the leaders and it should be one of those I feel with In Top Swing getting a dream run.

Ambulance will most likely rattle home for a 3rd maybe a 2nd I just think that the track will be to leader dominated as it usually is we'll see tomorrow though won't we.

So I guess my top 4 would be In Top Swing, Lago Delight, Ambulance and Scardee Cat

Not only do I think Ambulance will win, but will go on to the Cox Plate to challenge the great one, and come second!
