Heres a plan that has pulled some reasonable payers with no real long runs of outs, which is the biggest killer of all trifecta systems.

1)Target races with 7-9 runners only.

2)Get six horses by selecting the 6 with the best average prize money as shown in the Sportsman or Wizard form guides.

3)Outlay- now this is the important bit.
Dont box them (cost $120).
We bet 2 horses to run either 2nd or 3rd with 4 others .Cost $80

We need one or both of the anchor sels. to run a place(2nd or 3rd.) with one or two of the other 4 to run a place in any order.
2 anchor sels. with 4 others=2*4*5=40*2=$80 outlay.

What we have done is reduced the cost of a std. box 6 trifecta by 33% without compromising the spread of exposure by very much.
Remember we dont require both anchor sels. to get up for us , just one to run 2nd or 3rd (not 1st).

The 2 horses with the best average prize money can be the anchor bets

Another, and I personaly feel is a stronger way of placing this 6 horse trifecta would be ,

2 sel*4 others*4=24*3=$72
or in other words,
2*4*4
4*2*4
4*4*2
Cost 72 units.@.50 cents=$36
We need one of the 2 anchor sels. to get up (but not both).with 2 of the other 4 getting up in any order.
We have reduced the std. box trifecta cost ($120 ) down to $72 , a massive 40% reduction.

The 2 anchor horses could be the 2 with the best av. prize money .

Using the 6 best average prize money in races with 7-9 runners
Useing the 2 shortest priced ,of the 6 sels. in the newspaper pre-post market, as the rovering bankers.

Bris.2)1,2,3,5,7,8.... $67
Syd.1)1,2,4,5,6,7.......$382
Syd.5)2,3,4,5,6,8.......Loss

Outlay $72*3=$217
Return $449
Profit $232.....107% POT

The 1,2,3,etc. is your 1st.2nd.3rd Selection in average prize money order .

As stated they dont have to run in order ,it can be any order, as long as the 2 anchor bets dont get up together(I`m talking about the $72 version.)

These are called Rovers, because they must fill one of the three placings, otherwise we miss out.
We dont want both rovers getting up in the same race together.

You will find ,that if you take the 2 shortest priced horses as per
pre-post prices as per newspaper, that they very rearly appear together in the placings & when they do, they don`t pay much, therefore not worth spending good money to cover ,when the return is ordiary.

By the way, some people may feel that the derrogitory race comment,(which I won`t repeat)
politicly un-cool. Sorry ,butI just feel you have know.

This is how you would call this bet to a Telebet operator.

Example only.
Doomban race 8. roving banker trifecta No.1 the rover from Nos.3,4,5,6 for .50cents.

Same race roving banker trifecta No.2 the rover from Nos.3,4,5,6 for .50cents
Cost 72 combinations at .50c=$36.00

Of course if you are in NSW one could use their FlexiBet service which can cost even less. I`m in QLD & we can now use .25cent bets for Trifectas.

Make sure you have a bank big enough to handle any runs of outs & small divs. say at least 50 to 1 ratio. You dont want to be betting with frightened money ,especially Trifectas.

I`ve made a pile of money out of this plan,so much so, I`m taking my family to Bali today for 2 weeks , back on the 4th.July
(the Americans independance day could be our
dependence day when the bets go on for the day.)

Remember the 2 roving bankers of the 6 horses that qualify, are the 2 at the shortest price in the pre-post odds in the newspaper.

Bhagwan, have a nice holiday mate.

Guro "Latin for midas touch"? heheheh

"guro" is Japanese for black!

The closest latin to "midas touch" would be aurum contineo or very similar.

Have you tried this and how do you think it would go....maximum 10 runners find the top 6 avg prize money winners.....your top avg money winner as the rover with the other 5....cost $60
Maybe with the top 6 horses you could use your own assesment for the rover if you choose...
