Default Classes of races

Hi, Does anyone here know how to tell the difference of classes of races. For example the second race at Rosehill today is a 1MW race. How does this compare with benchmark races,..?

Regards, Paul

This list doesn't include the benchmark races though.
e.g. a horse with a rating of 76 could not enter a 0-72 race but it could run in a BM65 race.

Lux, I use the list to sort out if a horse is moving up, down or is steady in class/grade.
Nothing more.

Thats's exactly all I wanted to use it for also. To see if a horse is moving up/down in classes/grades

Yeah, jose, I realise that and it is a helpful list.
I was just pointing out that BM races are not in your list and can be quite different to Ratings races.
Unlike the ratings system (eg a 0-89 handicap) the race is restricted to horses within that ratings range.
Under the benchmark system, good horses can race below grade and carry a big weight. If it is a BM75 race, a rating 90 horse can accept if it wants to carry the extra weight.
