If my asessed price is $7.50 and its now $10 I accept the price greedily.

Imagine the other scenario.
"gee its $10 now .I better wait until its $3.

Lock me up in my little padded cell.

Good approach Darky, although I don't mind it shortening, when I Lay it 2 secs before the Close.....lol??

You don't necessarily have to take the worst SP price.
There is best tote or Betfair.

1 - Hoedown 4.2, 4.6, 3.2, 3.1 WON Best Tote $3.30 BSP $3.35 (net)
16 - Sharp Looker 8, 10, 6.5, 6 UNP
2 - Beira 3.8, 4.2, 3.1, 3 WON Best Tote $2.90 BSP $3.00 (net)
6 - Papa's Gothic 18, 18, 8.5, 8 UNP
5 - Tiger Jack 4.2, 4.2, 3.8, 3.7 UNP
8 - Monte Carlo 16, 16, 12, 11 3RD
7 - Viper Room 14, 18, 11, 10 UNP
13 - Qamar 10, 10, 6, 7 UNP
1 - Admiral Ruff 6, 6, 4.6, 4.4 2ND
7 - Lopresti 5, 5, 3.4, 3.2 WON Best Tote $3.90 BSP $3.65 (net)
11 - Duke Of Letchworth 8, 9, 5 3RD
2 - Scot Free 4, 4, 2.7, 2.8 2ND
9 - Daph 'n' Alf 8, 10, 7.5, 6.5 2ND
3 - Kash Spot 4.2, 4.2, 2.7, 2.5 UNP
16 - Solidus 9, 9, 4.2, 3.8 UNP
7 - La Cachette 6, 6, 4.8 WON Best Tote $5.20 BSP $5.70 (net)
6 - Lexical Ambiguity 10, 11, 8 UNP

17 Selections
4 Winners
5 Placings

Win S/R 23.53%
Place S/R 52.94%

SP Return 14.10 LOT -17.06%
Best Tote Return 15.30 LOT -10%
BFSP Return 15.70 (net of commission) LOT -7.65%

And this was a a very bad day for winners.

And what do you do if it drifts to $15.0?
Lay it off? Have more on? Nothing?

What may turn out to be a useful pointer is when the BF price is around or shorter than the bookies late in betting as they seem to (just on my ob's) do better than those where the BF price is longer than the books.

Hope that made some sort of sense as I didnt spend the spoils on jam this time, a couple of long necks instead
