Looks like an incredibly simple little plan XPT, if the basic rule is as I think it is. Don't you have a minimum number of starts though? That one in the 2nd had had just one run. I would have thought at least 4 starts would have been good???

Gday Sportz... yeah it is really... but looks can be deceiving There is the obvious then the not so obvious The comment about the runner in R2 has merit, but you can miss some nice winners if you cull them out... at the moment the method works ok and shows profit with them left in the mix, si I am prepared to leave them in.. Just a thing, tho, this works well on metro, and not so well on our country tracks.. so be wary.. Last edited by xptdriver : 7th October 2005 at 10:14 AM. |

Gday All
its Port Cup day... and I am off to the races.. The Cup is a good little race as it always is... I am leaning towards the Cup's specialist Precise Timing.. even with 60 on his back... Believe it or not he is dropping 3.5 (not taking the allowance into account) from his last outing at Newcasstle where he ran a creditable 2nd, following his brilliant win on the same track on Newcastle Cup Day. He has gone around at Port twice for a win and a 2nd had 4 goes at the distance for a win and a placing and he has the added bonus of having young Zac on board... Of the others He's Rocking was very impressive winning the prelude and needs to be considered... Plus it is the Graham/Prosser combo which is always a plus at Port, he has had 13 goes at port for 6 wins and 4 placing, this is his first time at the distance so that is neither a negative or a positive.. The old stager Serpentine should be there abouts.. look for him to figure at the finish... The 2 'invaders' from Sydney should attract plenty of attention from punters.. The Gerald Ryan trained Calorific only just beat the ambulance home in a Welter at Randwick a couple of weeks back but the start b4 won an open Handicap at Kembla.. likes to mix his form a bit.. and way down the bottom Rogerson has snuck Scottish Laird into the field.. it's last win was a Cl4 at Hawkesbury a month ago and then ran a place in a restricted Cl6 at Rosehill a couple of weeks ago... so is in my opinion up in class a fair way All of these horses in my opinion have claims, but I am sticking with Precise Timing... I will be yelling him home from 100 with a crownie in hand Now that I have given reasons for my choice watch em all fall over Here are some others that may be worth consdering thru the day... Good Luck if you choose to have a bet 7/10/2005 12:15 WANGARATTA 1 3 UNCLE STUEY 7/10/2005 12:40 PORT MACQUARIE 1 4 MOLTAR 7/10/2005 12:40 PORT MACQUARIE 1 6 TWO GUINEAS 7/10/2005 12:50 WANGARATTA 2 4 MR POTATO HEAD 7/10/2005 1:00 DOOMBEN 1 5 FINE WEATHER 7/10/2005 1:15 PORT MACQUARIE 2 2 MOCCABRAUN 7/10/2005 1:35 DOOMBEN 2 1 LUNCHTIME RED 7/10/2005 1:35 DOOMBEN 2 2 MAJOR PIERCING 7/10/2005 1:50 PORT MACQUARIE 3 10 TOUGH CALL 7/10/2005 2:10 DOOMBEN 3 10 JUST JEDDAH 7/10/2005 2:25 PORT MACQUARIE 4 3 SILVER STREET 7/10/2005 2:35 WANGARATTA 5 2 LAGI 7/10/2005 2:45 DOOMBEN 4 2 HOT AIR 7/10/2005 3:10 WANGARATTA 6 5 STAR SEQUENCE 7/10/2005 3:20 DOOMBEN 5 2 CLOSET 7/10/2005 3:35 PORT MACQUARIE 6 4 KENTUCKY IMAGE 7/10/2005 3:45 WANGARATTA 7 2 JACK BE IT 7/10/2005 3:55 DOOMBEN 6 1 ALLAMBIE 7/10/2005 4:25 WANGARATTA 8 3 HANDS OF STONE 7/10/2005 4:50 PORT MACQUARIE 8 1 PRECISE TIMING 7/10/2005 5:05 WANGARATTA 9 2 GINO'S SHOUT 7/10/2005 5:15 DOOMBEN 8 3 STYLISH QUALO |

Well done X with Precise Timing ..
Day 2 of my new approach and so far 2 days of profit.. Thats Paleface yesterday Damaze lost Today a loss with He's Rockin but a nice collect on Alana's Song ..and 1/2 the tri... if i keep it at a 50% strikerate i'll be laughing.. all my other stable lost so i'm starting to like this new approach of being more selective ..hard for me to do as i crave the action but my little $20 bets keep me happy .. Big day tomorrow...and maybe a few races tonight to play around with,, Time to get stuck into some of the videos,, hope you guys had a good one |

Gday w924 absolutely disgraceful day... pathetic... I was extra confident about Precise Timing, so the way the day was going I had a good dip with the books at 4.2 put the cash in pocket and got out square... Absolultely appalling they other things that went around... as I said earlier that seems t o work ok on Metro tracks, but couldnt find a winner at Doomben either.. ah well.. there's the Valley tonight..
