this is a system i have had for about 12 months and never used because i lost he thing and it has only just reared its head,wondering if anyone has a data base that can work out if it has been in profit or not,.i got it as a saturday only syste.m as ,at that stage it had not been tested on week days.. rules are......no wa races,no horses to carry more than 1.5 kg above minimum weight, ..look for horses that started less than even money last start....2=4 year olds.....saddle cloth 3-14......min. place s/r 50% started within 30 days and not dropping more than 200 metres. any suggestions to improve it if it has not performed would be great.

A suggested improvement would be to simplify it only use it as a fun spot play system.

To me it has too many rules and from lessons hard learnt this means some element of back fitting in its developement and a very low chance of the results repeating.

If you got these rules 12 months ago, even if it were back fitted then I would continue to use it Sat only......

From yesterday back to 1/1/2011 there were 150 races bet for a strike rate of 32% (48 races won) for a return of $238 or 47% POT. LRO was 15.

All days had 369 races bet for 110 winners or 29.8% strike and 13% POT This time LRO was 14.

Rules I have put in are :-

OLDTIMER
Venue: SMBAX
Age of Horse: 2 - 4
Horse Place %: 50 - 100
TAB Number: 3 - 14
Weight to Carry: 0.0 - 1.5
Days to Last Start: 1 - 30
Last Start SP: 0.0 - 0.9
Max Dist Rise-Drop: 2200 - 200

enjay - can i ask you what data base do you use please?

old timers, this is not dissimilar to the No Brainer system. I have no data to suggest an improvement, but you did ask !! Look at the bottom half of the field only instead of starting downwards from #3.

hey enjay and barny,thanks for your help, thinking we need something to reduce that 15 run of outs. do you think if we took out the filter of horses that started odds on ,and just looked for runnres that have had 2-3 starts.read somewhere that horses this age normally peak at 4-5 runs from a spell so maybe this would help.

Oldtimers,
I,d be looking at horses at 55- 58 Kg only.
(36.5 % of races but Win 50.6 % - A huge advantage)
