Hi woof43,

In short you are right on the mark. Obviously there are other measures which can be relevant such as an application of Finite difference. I won't elaborate on that here though as it is fairly complex and varies depending on its application. If others are interested in learning more about a Finite difference is then I suggest Google as a starting point.
