Wink Suggestions Please

Hi guys,
I will start again. I have developed a selection method and want suggestions on ways of making it as profitable as possible.

Basically it is: The method will select two horses in selected races. It finds the winner in 45% of these races with an average winners dividend of $4.50.

All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Toprank, I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that you are set to make about 2.5% POT at level stakes. Mmmmm, well if we could guarantee that no matter what the size of our bets the same 2.5% POT would apply, then you don't need me or anyone else (from a much higher plain thanme) to tell you that you have already made it!!

My "gut" however is that 2.5% is too narrow to 3rd Mortagage the house, as that could disappear in a matter of weeks. On the other hand if your returns are based on a single TAB returns, you have probably REALLY got something there if backed at BEST TOTE!
Not much help I know but just trying to stimulate the thread!! good luck!

Partypooper, thanks for the reply. What you say is spot on, I was just kind of hoping that someone out there had something extra that may have helped. The best totes angle has not been explored just yet, with the $4.50 dividend coming from the NSW TAB.
I am very hopeful, it is looking good.

Party Pooper is right. All you can really do is try to push the average price up toward $5.00 just by shopping around. Look at opening accounts with the online bookies.

"Basically it is: The method will select two horses in selected races. It finds the winner in 45% of these races with an average winners dividend of $4.50."

100 races = 200 bets
Returns 4.50 x 45 = 202.5

1.25% POT by my reckoning???
IF (IF, IF , IF) you can do this consistently, then bet flat stakes at the best odds you can get and retire this time next year.

oops, mark you are quite right of course 1.25%, POT but anyway same principle applies as you say! I'm sure that can be improved even just by betting maxi divi.
