Default SANDOWN LAKESIDE Sat. 16th

After last week, I'm betting against the favorites here and avoiding the tired horses [lots].

r1 Plenty of pace in this and the backmarker Princess Marizza has a nice sit in b10. Good 2nd up and 2 from 3 this distance but will start fav. Sun Glaze is ready to win too but I might go with E/W roughy Assessor [BM], looking for a good track after 2 failures on the dead. Won 1st up and has won at track and distance.

r2 Plenty of pace here too and not an easy race. I like Just Curious 4th up. Struck b14 last start at Flem. so b4 here will suit. Backmarker Knockout from b12 is my best roughy.

r3 No much pace. I like Bold Moment [MP] and Rough Chance [OP] both ran close up to Gamble Me last start at Flem., which is pretty good form here for this at e/w odds. Both 3rd. up too so fresh. Pleasantsundaygirl the obvious danger.

r4 A lot of runners and a bit of pace. A messy field to wade through so I won't. My quick-pick is Escadaire [MP] with a nice weight drop and 3rd up.

r5 Let Go Thommo gets the class right and should just win this and go for a well earned spell. I won't be taking the odds though. Best e/w or place bet:
Gibraltar Campion [down 5.5kg].

r6 The Fuzz has been up for 7 starts and is up 4kg. Zipping is carrying the Grandstand [up 5kg] and must be getting tired too, so I'm marking them as a good lay bets! No pace here [won't suit Zipping] so I'm going for Cancanelle [MP] e/w and with Fire in the night [P] and Extend [P] for a quin.

r7 One of the top 5 should win this. Masked Assassin is the only one with a win at the track but has b15 and Zacroona gets b11 so they will be covering ground. Distant Melody in b7 and El Mandon b9 are my picks as they both run good time. Better than Shilling [b4].

r8 I'm going around Sharkbite in this as he has never won on a good track. Stickpin is 4th up and very quick over this distance.

r9 Another large smorgasbord of runners for this meeting. Bit of pace on from a few leaders here. I'm going e/w Collodi, one of the backmarkers who will relish the pace, wide barrier, big track and firm surface. 4th up and big odds.

Good Luck!

I think Crash has the right idea,,went looking for value also..

Sandown
Race 1,
The speed in the race should suit She's Commanding,,,She gets back and should settle better with this tempo than
she did last start,,,I like Shinn on these backmarker type horses..

Race 4.
thought Anna's Choice a chance at value..Drops in class..Huge run 2 starts ago,,bred well and a jockey
on board that can get them up at odds..

Race 6,
I know theres a few around that think Zipping might be a tired horse but you have to remember some of
those group races were just barrier trials...Shouldnt be as tired as you think..i can't have him at that price
but hes hard to bet against..thought Red lord a chance at odds ,,the horse should get the nice run and
smother it needs..ridden perfectly last start and appreciated the gear changes..

Race 7,
Belcentra was super impressive last start,,,,,the wide barrier a concern but still looks the top hope..
thought Gazza Guru an e/w chance,,love the trainer and suited the distance,,

Race 8,
Gotta Have heart will give a great sight with no other likely horse taking it on up front....looks a nice e/w

RAce 9,
Lauras Charm...backed her at her last 2,,both runs have been sound ,,looks like she might get a nice drag over
with El Pauji likely to go forward aswell...might even get across without to much work...
i think shes has a touch of class and the distance suits...(gets one more chance from me)

Adelaide
Starbird
Roma
Cocktail Shaker*
Townsville
Walt to Glory
Wyong
Escudero
Ascot
M Sandgroper *

Good Luck

Saturdays Tips:

SANDOWN
Race: 9 Number (1) Like It Is

TOWNSVILLE
Race:3 Number (1) Citi Boy
Race:5 Number (7) Splenderous

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

There were 2 tied ratings @ Sandown in:
race 5 between Let Go Thommo & Pencelaron
race 8 between Speilmeister & Sharkbite
If any are scratched then the other will be added to the list up top.

Good Luck

Thumbs up

Looking good so far today. Changed my mind and went with Star Rose in the first [see comp. bet] 7.60w, r2 Just Curious 5.30w, r4 Bet Anna's Choice and Escadaire 3.70w. A couple more would be nice.
