Default To Don Scott Ratings "Disciples"

Many here extol the virtues of Don Scott ratings, it all sounds very easy to follow and use one way or another to win / improve an existing system.

One thing I have NEVER seen posted here are the success rate of the TOP RATED nag, either Strike Rate or POT.

I cannot recall any evidence to back up the claims that Don Scott ratings are as good as people say. We have done the favouries S/R to death, barriers, ten thousand systems, jockeys, and on and on it goes, BUT NO analysis on Don Scott ratings.

I stand to be corrected ......

Uselessbettor (why the name by the way) might give us some info or I suppose you could check yourself with his free data base.
As a multiple bettor I,m not partiicularly interested myself but others might.

There were 49527 horse form lines in the database at this point in time. We update when we get time.

There were 4632 selections for the System
There were 1092 Winners for the System for a strike rate of 23.58%
There were $4510.09 returned for WIN (after 5% commission) which means a Profit or loss of $-121.91 or a percentage profit/loss of -2.63%

Test Another System

The Rules used were : donScottRank = 1

With one filter applied.....
There were 49527 horse form lines in the database at this point in time. We update when we get time.
There were 1121 selections for the System
There were 281 Winners for the System for a strike rate of 25.07%
There were $1194.33 returned for WIN (after 5% commission) which means a Profit or loss of $73.33 or a percentage profit/loss of 6.54%

By adding just one more filter...
There were 49527 horse form lines in the database at this point in time. We update when we get time.
There were 940 selections for the System
There were 243 Winners for the System for a strike rate of 25.85%
There were $1048.7 returned for WIN (after 5% commission) which means a Profit or loss of $108.7 or a percentage profit/loss of 11.56%

Reasonable results for one and two filters....

Thanks Useless bettor!!

There are two filters Darkydog2002, and I'm pleased they've been kept quiet. Little subtleties like this surely must convince the unwashed that there is money to be made from system betting.

I have over 100 systems (none purchased) and have developed a couple of logical ones that are doing OK. There seem to be some on here that do show a decent POT ...... Why am I bothering saying this? 'Coz I'm going to give a bit back here, not posting my 'good' systems, 'coz my good systems might turn bad and cost someone their rent money, BUT in the guise of my last couple of posts where some decent information is to be had.

Chrome Prince's avoiding mares & fillies backing up in 7 days is gold.

There are some really smart dudes who have visited this forum over the years.

cheers
