When I read the results of my bets this morning I felt disappointed and ashamed. I am sorry for anyone who bet on those and I assure you I will be more clinical from now on. Serie A is proving to be surprising this season with many upsets. I will restrict myself in future.

Basketball... Wildcats were pathetic. Hawks were too good.. what more can be said.

I will restart the streak, the first post can be only used as a reminder to me not to get ahead of myself. To get the streak started, here is one bet.

Football
Juventus ($1.60) to beat AS Roma.

These things happen. The Hawks came out firing and the Wildcats were executing poorly after their eleven day layoff. With the benefit of hindsight the eleven day break did more harm than good.

Yeah, sure is. Probably a better bet to take Aust to WIN though. As the Poms season has only just finished and Aust will be without D.Lockyer and C.Fitzgibbon is doubtful. Having said that Australia has had a couple of good lead up matches against NZ. So I think we can win by more than 6.5. I am hoping for a dry game though.

I wont be getting on at silly prices ....I was just curious cos they had a match the other night against a combined side of some sort It wasnt the test side but the fringe players I wasnt sure whether youd bet on that .I backed em last year when they played over there and they only just done enough in that series ,,,,,, I believe That we dont have the superiority that we had a few years ago teams arent as intimidated as they were (league and cricket)anyway thats just my opinion ....Pleased as punch about em stickin it to the indians over there though

The game the other night was a combined ANZAC side. We played Cumbria and flogged them 64 - 12. Didn't have a punt on it though.

I agree the distance between these three sides has reduced significantly over the past three to four years. Australia are no longer the certainties they used to be. I think it has a lot to do with the quality of players we export to the UK and the Warriors side playing in the NRL. It is good to see the international competition a closer than it used to be.

Juventus WON against Roma.

1/1 in the streak so far. My aim is to get an average of 4/5 predictions right.

Basketball
DOUBLE
Sydney Kings-Melbourne Tigers ($1.75).

Tennis
Nalbandian ($1.33) to beat Schuettler.
Haas ($1.18) to beat Rochus.
Massu ($1.40) to beat Ulihrach.
Agassi ($1.18) to beat Verdasco.
