Default Head to Head Vs Result

Tonight I noticed for the first time that there is a difference in price between betting Head to Head or betting on the Result. I notice this whilst perusing the cricket markets on sportstab.com.au For instance:

Head to Head prices:

Australia $1.35
Pakistan $3.00

Result prices:

Australia $1.33
Draw $4.50
Pakistan $8.00

In the words of Julius Sumner Miller, "Why is it so?"

If you where backing the Paki's, surely you would take the result prices option of $8.00 even considering the draw.

If you where to bet on Australia to win, seems better value to take the head to head price of $1.35 with no draw option.

Considering you are getting an extra $0.02 per $1.00, makes sense to me.

Why do they have a head to head and a result option?
Why is there no draw option in the head to head?
Who wins in the event of a draw if you bet on head to head?
Is the game awarded to the home team as it was in the washed out 3rd ODI final in Brisbane last week. Not that I am certain this is why sportstab paid on win Australia in that match.

I'll be taking the extra $0.02 tomorrow if it is still on offer!

that is crazy.. 1.33 for a 3-chance bet. 1.35 for a 2 chance bet. Makes absolutely no sense to me. Must have been a plunge or something but still I'm surprised.

I can't believe anyone would have paid out on Australia in the 3rd one-dayer. It should have been a refund pure and simple.

Just had a look at sportstab.com.au and I think that head to head bet you're talking about is nothing to do with the result of the game. It is actually for the highest opening partnership of the two teams in the first innings.
