Doesn't look to be much between Americain & Manighar
Scarlett Lady should go a lot better than her last-start effort

its impossible to split the top 3 here for me. Americain, Manighar and Southern Speed. The stats say the further they go the further it plays into Americains hands which means the 2400 should be ideal yet i look at Southern Speeds runs this prep and it looks like shes begging for the mile and a half. Manighar has been on top for a while but the extra quarter mile might put the ball in the court of the other two. for fourth Niwot has to be fthe one. perfectly presented for this should be at the top of his game and dare i say it could even take it out should D Dunn pull out some of his magic

talk about a jockey killing a horse. what do these international jockeys think coming here and riding like that? Mosse go back home. u killed it trying to go back to back melb cups and now the BMW. but if ur owners and trainer accept second place as a good result then keep riding how u do.

Manighar on the other hand. at ur best against americain at his, u dont stand a chance however ur lucky to be trained and ridden under the hottest combo there is in aussie racing. props to luke nolen. time and again u prove urself as one of our best. no doubt it helps when ur on the best horse but today u werent not by far. what u did do was prove u were the better horseman.

In the press, Americain’s part-owner Kevin Bamford has said that Mosse will never ride Americain again

A mate of mine has a nickname for Mosse, '3-wide'. He's been calling him that for as long as I've known him.

Mosse is all about rhythm and loves parking his mounts out wide. If you watch Americain's victory in the Melbourne cup he's parked 3-wide with cover for the best part of the race.

Watching Americain's last 200m in the BMW would make anyone who backed him sick to the stomach. I didn't get on as I felt he was unders but luckily steered my mate into backing him for the place due to the tricky barrier.
