A method I utilise with some success but cannot guarantee it's long-term performance is utilising Mr Magic's Computer Card selections available in The Daily Telegraph(NSW). This method provides regular long-shot winners/place-getters and is excellent for those wishing to take multiple trifectas/quinellas/exactas.
The method I use is to scan the Computer Card markets for the first horse which is at least twice the assessed odds, ie. for Rosehill 24.1.03 SR6 No.2 Eaux De Vie, assessed odds....$4.50....currently $11.00.
For Sandown MR 5 Bust Up, assessed odds...$4.50....currently $11.00.
Utilising my preferred method of investing in the ratio of 1 unit win and 5 units place these usually prove profitable investments.
They are excellent for those taking the exotics and by including these qualifiers in your selections, many large exotic dividends have been achieved. If there are any scratchings you move down the list until a qualifier is achieved. This metod has selected many winners/placegetters paying in excess of $15.

Performed well today after some mixed results over recent weeks.
However, it continues to select good priced winners and place-getters:
1.3.03: MR6 No 4 Super Elegant $12.20w$3.60pl
MR6 No 9 Sir Chuckle 3rd $5.00pl
As I said previously this is a plan to include the qualifiers in exotics with your own selections and improve your chances of getting those elusive big paying divs.
